Representative Greg Harris Endorses Dunne in 48
Former State Representative Greg Harris endorsed Joe Dunne for alderman in the 48th Ward.
Harris was elected to the Illinois General Assembly in 2006 and served until January, when he retired as Majority Leader of the House of Representatives. Harris served the 13th District which includes parts of Edgewater, Lake View, Lincoln Square, North Center, Uptown and West Ridge.
“I strongly endorse Joe Dunne for alderman of the 48th Ward. He has years of proven experience developing affordable housing, and is resolute in fighting high property taxes for his community, two key issues facing the ward. He will be an effective and collaborative leader for those he serves on the North Side and in City Council,” said Harris.

Endorsed by Present Alderman Osterman, Joe Dunne Aims to Improve the 48th Ward
The 48th Ward is one of 50 legislative districts in Chicago that elect an alderman every four years. These 50 legislators make up the Chicago City Council. The 48th Ward includes part of Edgewater, Andersonville, and Uptown. Ten candidates are vying for this place this year.
Joe Dunne, a longstanding resident of Edgewater and vice president of Bickerdike Redevelopment Company, is one of those ten. With a focus on affordable housing, Dunne feels that his more than 15 years of real estate experience will be beneficial to his candidacy.
Dunne wants to increase public safety while also making sure that community schools receive fair financing and high-quality instruction.
Joe Dunne has volunteered his time and efforts for the community for almost ten years by serving on the Pierce Elementary LSC, the Board of Friends of Pierce, and the Edgewater Council.

Fire Fighters' Union Endorses Dunne in 48th Ward
Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local 2 endorsed Joe Dunne for alderman in the 48th Ward.
The Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local 2 of the International Association of Fire Fighters represents fire fighters and paramedics. The Chicago Fire Department is the largest in the Midwest.
“I am proud to receive the support of the Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local 2,” said
Dunne. “The brave men and women who serve as fire fighters are on the frontlines of ensuring public safety for Chicago.”

Chicago Federation of Labor Endorses Dunne for Alderman in 48
The Chicago Federation of Labor, an umbrella organization for local unions, has endorsed Joe Dunne, a longtime Edgewater resident, for Alderman of the 48th Ward. The CFL is a subsidiary of the AFL-CIO and has some 320 affiliated member unions representing half a million union men and women in Cook County.
