Pat Quinn Endorses Dunne in 48
Former Governor Pat Quinn endorsed Joe Dunne for alderman in the 48th Ward.
Quinn served as Illinois governor from 2009 to 2015.
"Joe Dunne is a strong voice for everyday people and for property tax relief and reform. He will fight hard for consumers and taxpayers," said former Governor Quinn.
"I'm honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Quinn. Governor Quinn has been a long-time advocate for good government and for the people of Illinois," said Dunne.
The Municipal Elections will be held February 28. Early voting has already begun in all wards.
Dunne has been endorsed by Alderman Harry Osterman, 48th, Cook County Commissioner Bridget Gainer, 10th, former State Senator Heather Steans, former Alderman Mary Ann Smith, 48th, the Carpenters Union - Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council, the Chicago Federation of Labor, the Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local 2, the Chicago Laborers’ District Council;
Also, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Locals 9 and 134, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Joint Council 25, the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Works, the International Union of Operating Engineers Locals 150 and 399, the Ironworkers District Council of Chicago and Vicinity, and Plumbers Local 130 UA.
Dunne is vice president of Real Estate Development for Bickerdike Redevelopment Corporation and previously served as senior development manager for Holsten Real Estate Development Corporation. Prior posts include district development coordinator/ deputy director for the Illinois Medical District Commission as well as project administrator/ manager for the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning and Development.
He received an M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management in finance and real estate.
