Joe Dunne, a businessman with several endorsements for alderman in the 48th Ward, unveiled a campaign song to be posted on his website – “Joe From Chicago.”

The song is performed by Parting Glass Trio; John Neafsey, lead vocals and guitar, Jennifer Dunne, fiddle and vocals, and Jim Szmurlo, mandolin, fiddle and vocals.
Here’s Joe, from Chicago, steppin down LakeShore Drive
Here’s Joe, from Chicago, I’ll give him my high-five
He’s got a plan, oh yeah, he’s our guy for alderman
Oh Joe, you gotta know, he’ll really get things done
Chorus
From the cool and blue Lake Michigan, to the taqueria up on Clark
We’ll get off the L at Argyle Street and stroll through Margate Park
Here’s Joe, from Chicago, steppin down DuSable Drive
Here’s Joe, from Chicago, I’ll give him my high-five
He’s got a plan, oh yeah, he’s our guy for alderman
Oh Joe, you gotta know, he’ll really get things done
Dunne has been endorsed by Alderman Harry Osterman, 48th, former State Senator Heather Steans, 7th, former Alderman Mary Ann Smith, 48th, the Chicago Federation of Labor, the Chicago Laborers’ District Council, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 134 and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 and 399.
